(Actually that's just for Friday.  On Saturday I am going to dress up in a costume that circled the blogosphere last Halloween.   If executed properly, it's going to be pretty cool.  I will post pics if I don't look like a goofball.)

Get organized 2k11

I am reeeally particular about planners. Mainly the way the days are displayed on the page. I like having an entire week outlook on two pages, with the days listed in rows, not columns. This is sort of hard to find now that I don't have my OSU Mortar Board, my trusty fallback. They had us spoiled in the area of planners at that university.

A few months ago I realized that just because I graduated did not mean that I didn't need a planner anymore. I didn't feel like buying another planner for the last few months of the year (and couldn't find one I liked, for that matter). So I just improvised and used my graph-paper moleskin notebook. I wrote in my own calendar and it has worked out pretty well.

I've been keeping my eyes open and here are some possibilities of what I may be purchasing in January:

Orrrrr I may just draw a bunch of lines in my moleskin again and call it good.

Go to Chicago. But don't drive. Fly instead. You're not following Sufjan's rules but it's much quicker.

I am a watch person.

I've been a watch person since about the first grade. My first watch was purple - Beauty And The Beast themed. It was digital, and since I hadn't taken all my electrical engineering classes yet, I didn't quite understand the risk of getting electronics wet. I wore it in the bathtub, and I still remember looking down at my watch like it was yesterday. My eyes went down to the watch, the screen was completely blank, and I started crying.

In the end, the watch just needed to be dried out and the battery was replaced and it was good as new. Lesson learned: electronics (especially watches) and water don't mix.

Anyway, watches are great. I like them nerdy, utilitarian, clean and sometimes vintage. Kinda how I like my glasses.

My two most recent watches, Swatch watches. Love them because they are cheap, durable, and go with anything. You can dress them up or down. I got the black one about three years ago and the grey one about three months ago. The watches are two sizes because that's how they are in real life. The black one is tiny and the grey one is huge!

Other watches I love:

Such a pretty color! here.
